BulgurĀ (Cracked Wheat)

Cooked bulgur has a rich nutty flavor and is a fiber-rich whole grain that tastes good and leaves you satiated. Next time a recipe asks for cooked rice, vary your grains by giving bulgur a try!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup bulgur
  • 2 cups boiled water
  • 1 tbs. olive oil 
Servings: 4
Prep time: 5 min
Cook time: 15 min
Directions
  • In a medium saucepan, add the bulgur with the water and bring to a boil.
  • Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, fluff with a fork, and serve!
